A regular meeting and public hearings of the Town Board of the Town of Barrington was held at the Barrington Town Hall on October 22nd, 2024 located at 4424 Bath Road, Penn Yan and County of Yates.

Supervisor Yarrington called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Open/Close Public Hearing on Local Law 4 of 2024
A motion to open the public hearing on local law 4 of 2024 to Override the Tax Cap for 2025 at 6:01 pm was made by Crosby and seconded by Petro.

Yarrington explained that the law is probably not needed but better to have it just in case. A motion to close the public hearing at 6:02 pm was made by Onley and seconded by Petro.

Open/Close Hearing on Preliminary Budget for 2025
A motion to open the hearing on the preliminary budget at 6:08 pm was made by Perry and seconded by Petro.

Steve Brigham had questions regarding the CDs for the Town. Yarrington gave details how they will be invested.
Crosby was concerned with the expense giving the Town Clerk health insurance.
A motion to close the public hearing at 6:45 pm was made by Perry and seconded by Petro.

Highway Report
Superintendent Wheeler gave his monthly report. He also shared that he has been dealing with the Village of Dundee open-cutting one of the Town Roads without permission.
Code Enforcement Report
Code Enforcement Officer Grady handed out his monthly report and shared that there will be four or five variance applications coming before the ZBA.
Supervisor Comments/Concerns
Yarrington explained that there are inconsistency problems regarding setbacks for the lake residential in the new Zoning Law.
Resolution 2024-120 to set a public hearing on November 26th, 2024 at 6:00 pm to fix the errors to in the new Zoning Law was made by Perry and seconded by Petro.
