A regular Town Board meeting of the Town of Barrington, County of Yates and State of New York was held at the Town Hall located at 4424 Bath Road, Penn Yan on August 22, 2023.

Supervisor Perry called the Town Board meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance at 6:00 pm. A motion to approve the minutes of July 25th, 2023 was made by Perry and seconded by Yarrington.

There was discussion regarding the Town Hall phone not working properly. S. Perry spoke to Bob with SCT computers earlier in the day.
Resolution 2023-85 to approve the Jusce audit for July was made by Yarrington and seconded by Petro.

Superintendent Wheeler submitted his highway reported. They have been working on a project on Welker Road which is funded from a grant from Yates County Soil & Water.
A motion to approve the highway report was made by Yarrington and seconded by Olney.

Jayne gave his code enforcement report. He stated that one of the biggest projects in the town is almost done. He also stated that it has been pretty quiet with no recent ZBA meetings.
A motion to approve the code enforcement report was made by Yarrington and seconded by Perry.

Supervisor Perry stated that he attended the tax revenue share meeting at the County. There was a finance committee formed to work on the process.
Resolution 2023-87 to set a public hearing on a local law increasing the income limits of the tax exemption for persons 65 years of age or over for September 26th at 6:00 pm was made by Yarrington and seconded by Perry.

Resolution 2023-88 that only one signature is required on a check for interbank transfers for Five Star Bank was made by Olney and seconded by Perry.
